New Jersey:

Diesel Powered Motor Vehicles: Final rule establishes a limit of 3 minutes of idling time for diesel powered motor vehicles with some exceptions. Click here for more information.

Draft DEP Readiness Checklist: New Jersey is attempting to better support businesses. They hope that this checklist will help businesses evaluate all aspects of their projects to ensure environmental issues are identified and addressed in a timely and effective manner. Ground Water Quality Standards; Antidegradation policy N.J.A.C. 7:9C: Proposed rulemaking which would replace the existing antidegradation limits with a new program that focuses on groundwater quality classifications and designated uses. Storage Tanks Regulations: EQB approved the storage tank regulations outlined in an earlier EES post. Click here for more information.

Hazardous Waste Regulations Proposal: Proposed changes will simplify paperwork and add some universal wastes to promote more recycling in the state. Click here for more information.

Pennsylvania Clean Vehicle Program: Draft technical guidance which will align Pennsylvania’s emission requirements for new cars with California’s. Click here for more information.

Stream Well and Raw Water Diversion Permitting Procedures: Draft technical guidance outlines how DEP will permit a well or surface water source that discharges directly into a waterway or reservoir. Click here for more information.


NOx Limits: Final rulemakings have been issued to control NOx emissions from specific types of processing equipment including industrial boilers and heaters at refineries and stationary combustion turbines. Click here for more information.
