Review of company’s pertinent environmental documents including permits, plans, training programs, and reporting requirements; assessment of documents to identify environmental issues at site and help narrow focus of audit

Inspection of facility accompanied by company representatives to gain thorough understanding of process operations and environmental issues

Interview with key employees regarding compliance with and knowledge of environmental regulations and company policies and procedures

Preparation of environmental audit report including background information, description of records review and facility walk-through, and summary of results of audit with applicable regulatory citations; prioritization of list of recommendations for corrective actions, modifications, or improvements to environmental programs at facility
