OSHA is expected to announce shortly that they will begin the enforcement of the fit testing of respirators under the existing Respiratory Protection Standard 29CFR1910.134. Healthcare workers required to wear respiratory protection must be medially approved and fit tested annually. More details will be provided after the official notification is reviewed.
