Position Summary

EES has an opening for a Professional Engineer (PE) to review and validate ongoing environmental projects including Air Emissions, Spill and Preparedness Plans, Water Quality, Energy, Sustainability and other environmental projects.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work directly with field personnel, compliance analysts and other subject matter experts to review information, validate calculations and compare operations with compliance guidelines.

  • Prepare and validate air emission calculations for regulatory submissions. 

  • Prepare and review SPCC, PPC and other Preparedness plans for completeness and appropriateness. 

  • Research and confirm local, state and Federal regulations regarding environmental compliance. 

  • Project oversight as needed per project, both seasonally and occasionally on-demand. 


Qualifications

  • Qualified engineers are licensed (PE) in any of the 50 states. Highest priority is currently PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA, RI and CA.


Experience

  • Experience with air emissions calculations including generators, boilers, fire pumps and similar combustion systems. 

  • Experience with preparedness plans involving oil storage and/or stormwater management. 

  • Experience with environmental health and safety projects, energy and sustainability calculations including greenhouse gas emissions. 


Employment Terms

  • 100% Remote

  • Onsite site visits are desirable but not required

  • As needed

  • Contract position - 1099.


Position Notes:

The on-demand style and frequency of Engineering oversight work combined with 100% remote contributions may be ideal for experienced PEs looking to supplement their day to day activity or for newer PEs looking to gain experience.
