Global Warming Primer - Part 1

Updated: Aug 29, 2023

Since we are on the brink of major changes in our clean air laws related to Global Warming, I’d like to provide some brief descriptions of the science behind climate change. Part 1 is the definition of greenhouse gas (from the U.S. EPA web site):

Any gas that absorbs infra-red radiation in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases include water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), halogenated fluorocarbons (HCFCs) , ozone (O3), perfluorinated carbons (PFCs), and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).

Check back periodically for entries in this series (Global Warming Primer, Parts 2 through ??). Contributions and comments are welcome.
