Project Experience
Corporate Air Quality Compliance Program for a Baked Goods Manufacturer (multiple facilities)
Managed a corporate air quality compliance program for a baked goods manufacturer.  The program included the following tasks:
  • In consultation with senior management, developed an overall quality compliance strategy for the company.
  • Prepared Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) per applications for the Pennsylvania bakeries.
  • Prepared Title V or Synthetic Minor applications for the Pennsylvania and New York Bakeries.
  • Conducted volatile organic compound (VOC) capture and destruction efficiency testing for the catalytic oxidizers at the Pennsylvania bakeries.

Air Quality Permit Applications for Slag Processor

Prepared Plan Approval and Natural Minor (State Only) Operating Permit applications for several Pennsylvania facilities for this steel scrap and slag processor. The key elements of the projects included:

  • Estimates of particulate emissions for slag pot dumping, feed hoppers, conveyor transfer points, screens, jaw crushers and unpaved roadways.
  • Best Available Technology (BAT) analyses which saved the client greater than $100,000 in air pollution control costs.
  • Process descriptions, site location maps and process flow diagrams.
  • Completion of all required Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection application forms.
